Who are we?
Ellis and Ellis are Business Transfer Agents. In simple terms we sell businesses of all types. These can include Delicatessen, Sandwich Bars, Newsagents & Off Licences, Restaurants, Florists, Convenience Stores and so on, although in addition larger commercial and industrial concerns are also entrusted to us.
Any business that can demonstrate a trading record can be sold. Businesses may occupy either freehold and leasehold premises and occasionally may trade from home. All can be sold! We do find that the 'less common' retail businesses often find buyers relatively quickly, as at any one time there may be fewer of that type on the market.
Ellis & Ellis was established in Nottingham in 1988 and has traded continually ever since. The current owner Michael O'Hanlon A.C.I.B. took control of the business in 2002. Since the business was established close to 1,800 businesses have passed through our books.

Our main area of specialisation is the area around Nottingham, Newark, Mansfield, Chesterfield, Derby, Loughborough, and the East Midlands generally.
